In an mutual understanding, a delegation from Sri lanka will visit Andhra Pradesh to study investment opportunities in the new State. In turn, AP Government agreed to collaborate in establishing Industrial Park in Sri lanka to be set up in 600 acres.
The Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu met with a team of Sri lankan industrialists and entrepreneurs including Mr. Ashroff Omar, CEO of Brandix and Shirantha Herath, Chairman of Southern Development Board and extended his support to establish their industries in Andhra Pradesh on Monday late evening.
The Chief Minister advised the Sri lankan government to study the sectors of Horticulture, Tourism and Pharma industries.
“Our agricultural industry is witnessing a marvelous growth of 30 to 35 per cent and our aqua culture is successful at a 40 per cent growth rate”, informed the Chief Minister. He invited a delegation from Sri lanka to conduct a detailed study the different sectors of Andhra Pradesh.
The team also presented a proposal for an Industrial Park in Sri lanka, spread across 600 acres, which are already identified.
They said that the relations between India and Sri lanka, which they are extremely happy with, will be flourished further by associating with the AP government.
The Chief Minister said that the second-generation entrepreneurs have immense potential to do wonders in AP. “The delegation must conduct research and find ways to tap all the local resources intelligently”, he said.
