NCC CELEBRATES 70TH ANNIVERSARY
National Cadet Corps (NCC),the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world, celebrated its 70th Raising Day. The raising day function was marked by paying homage at the Amar JawanJyoti, India Gate on 24 Nov 2018 to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice of their lives. DG NCC Lt Gen PP Malhotra, VSM laid a wreath on behalf of the entire NCC fraternity.
Northern Rly Honours 11 Employees
In keeping with the practice of honoring employees, whose alertness and prompt action have resulted in averting a possible accident, through Safety Awards and as recognition of meritorious services, Northern Railway honored the services of eleven of its employees through Safety Awards at a ceremony held at Northern Railway Headquarters Office, Baroda House, New Delhi on Friday. The Awards were presented by TP Singh , General Manager , Northern Railway. Also present on this occasion were Rajesh Tiwari, Additional General Manager, Northern Railway, Seema Kumar, Chief Safety Officer, Northern Railway and the Principal Heads of all departments of Northern Railway.
DELHI WINS THE TITLE OF ‘FAVOURITE INDIAN CITY’
Delhi won the award for ‘Favourite Indian City’ at the eighth edition of Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards. The ceremony was held at The Lodhi, New Delhi, on 29th November, 2018, in the presence of industry leaders, influencers and recognized names from the travel and tourism sector including Government bodies. Sudhir Sobti, Chief Manager (PR & Publicity) received the award on behalf of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), Govt. of Delhi.
