The 3rd edition of adidas Tango League, an initiative conceived to boost the rising fever of football in India, kicked-off on Saturday at ‘adidas The Base, Delhi’ in New Delhi. The two-day event will see 48 teams battling it out against each other at Delhi’s premier football destination – adidas The Base, Delhi- raising the excitement quotient to a whole new level.

Through Tango League – a Global proposition, adidas aims to boost the rising passion and facilitate the talented youth with a platform and a football experience like never before. The leading sports brand has already hosted two editions of the tournament, each tournament comprising of players between the age group of 16 to 25 yrs.

What makes the whole experience unique is the quirky set of exciting rules in every edition. In this third edition, the COPA strike rule, has been introduced, where the competing teams will be given the latest adidas COPA boots and the team that scores a goal with these boots will be counted to have scored two goals.

The adidas Tango League serves as the most disruptive hunt for those raw players that standout both on and off the pitch, offering players an opportunity to prove that they are the best urban footballers in their city by mixing on pitch performances backed with their social media prowess.

Additionally, adidas Tango League is a chance for the CHAMPIONS to be part of the history and leave a legacy. All the winners from the previous editions have their names etched on a unique “Tango League Champions” wall. Would the reigning Champions Avengers FC battle it out to reclaim their crown and bragging rights, or, we would see a new Champion emerge, the result will be revealed on December 16 at adidas The Base Delhi.
