Punjab State Power Corporation Limited on Saturday said it will provide 10 hours power supply to agriculture consumers on alternative days in the state from October 14 to March 31, next year.
In addition, the nominated feeders of the vegetable group will get 5 hours daily power supply in a day, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Power Minister, Punjab said in a statement. He said for this purpose, vegetables feeders of each substation have been divided into 4 groups for the purpose in which power supply will be given to 2 groups in one day and the remaining 2 groups will be supplied power on the next day.
Kangar said that in the same way the agriculture consumers of border areas of the state will also be supplied 10 hours power on alternative days.
The Power Minister said that if case of any consumers may not get power due to some technical reason, then power will be supplied to the consumers concerned in the next 24 hours.
