BJP issues show cause to Ravindra and Dhullu

Tuesday, 27 November 2018 | PNS | Ranchi

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit today issued show-cause notices to Giridih MP Ravindra Kumar Pandey and Baghmara MLA Dhullu Mahto for infighting and serious allegations of sexual abuse against both the leaders.

The incidents were denting party’s prospects for upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled to be held in 2019, said State BJP president Laxman Gilua BJP here on Monday.

Addressing a press meet Gilua said, “The party will constitute a committee to probe Ravindra-Dhullu matter and the committee will submit its report within one week.  As we have started our preparations for the upcoming general elections such kinds of incidents should not occur in the party. As some media reports have highlighted the matter it will spread wrong messages among voters.”

The Party has convened a meeting of all office bearers of the State to chalk out strategy for the upcoming general elections on Monday at its headquarters.  Revealing future strategy, he said that the party will start ‘Padyatra’ in every Assembly constituency and meet with people.

It will cover around 150 km in every Assembly constituency. Local MP and MLA will take part in team of ‘Padyatra’ with other cadres in the respective areas, he added. Gilua further said, “During the foot march voters will be informed that the Central government is running around 108 various kinds of welfare programmes like Ayushman Bharat Yojna, through which 56 lakh families are getting health benefits and almost 50 such kinds of welfare programmes are being run by the State government, by which a large numbers of people are getting benefits.”

“As the party’s National President, Amit Shah has constituted 19 point strategies for the coming general elections one of most important is formation of booth committee. At present there are around 30,000 booths in Jharkhand.  Till now twenty one thousand booth committees have been formed in the State and very soon we will form remaining numbers of booth committees,” said the State BJP president.

Speaking on the ongoing controversy of recruitment of ‘Para Teachers’ he said, “I will talk to the Chief Minister as it is related with future of students and a large numbers of people are getting employment from it.”  Anant Ojha, BJP MLA from Sahebganj and State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shadeo were also present on the occasion.
