State emerging top destination: Patnaik tells investors

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday declared open the second five-day ‘Make in Odisha’ biennial investors’ meet and inaugurated industry pavilions at the Janata Maidan here, showcasing opportunities for potential investors in the State. The CM also strolled around the exhibition centre.

Patnaik in his short speech highlighted how Odisha is emerging as an investors’ destination with plenty of opportunities in its focus areas that have been highlighted in the Industry Vision document 2025.

Earlier in the evening, while addressing the Make in Odisha's national industry partner, FICCI's National Executive Committee, Patnaik said, "As Odisha has emerged as a manufacturing hub in the east, slowly but gradually, we are going to make it a global hub." He highlighted how Odisha is transforming its industrial scenario.

"Now we take very less time to approve proposals," Patnaik said. The evening saw a multimedia presentation on scopes and opportunities in Odisha, besides scintillating cultural programmes. The investors’ summit will conclude on November 15.
