Congress backs Naxalism, BJP works to eliminate it: Javadekar

Monday, 29 October 2018 | Staff Reporter | Raipur

Counter attacking Congress on Naxalism in the country, Union Minister of Ministry of Human Resource Development and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Prakash Javadekar said that it is Congress which has given birth to Naxalism and fanned it. Javadekar has visited Jagdalpur, Bilaspur and on arrival at Raipur was addressing the media at Ekatma Parisar, BJP Divisional Office on Sunday.

“Bharatiya Janata Party government after coming to power has been working on eradication of Naxalism. It is the reason that once it was at its peak but now only one-third has been left. In the last three years 350 Naxalites have been killed. 5000 misguided tribal youths have surrendered,” union minister said.

Answering to the allegation of Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Javadekar said, “Manu says Government of Chhattisgarh is weak, when the naxalism has become one-third. Congress has given birth of the menace and also backed it. The party has made some of Naxal supporters as members of the Planning Commission like bodies.”

He further reiterated that BJP would be working for total eradication of Naxalism and has already Sarguja region is free of it. If BJP comes to power fourth time, it would work for making Bastar region, free of Naxalism.

Again on Congress he said, the party is unable to understand how to counter Prime Minister Modi therefore is indulging in using abusive words. It has already limited to 4 states in the country.

He appreciated the works of Chief Minister Raman Singh. Union minister said that now the slogan of BJP is ‘Baatien nahin kaam se..BJP Phir se..’ (No talks by work, BJP again..). On Ram temple, he said, the hope is that soon a temple would be constructed at Ayodhya.
