Five held for carrying beef in car

Khajuri police have nabbed five persons allegedly carrying beef in Tavera SUV and recovered beef from the SUV in Bhonri village; locals were furious and tried to damage SUV and harm the miscreants.

Police team acted swiftly after receiving information of SUV carrying beef at Malwa stone crusher in Neelbad and traced the vehicle near Bhonri village. SHO Khajuri police said that the miscreants were nabbed on September 1 and are involved in the illegal trade for long.  The details of supply and origin from where it was brought are under investigation.

In the initial investigation when the registration number was checked details were not found and possibly it is fake registration number or vehicle has been provided on contract.

Police team traced the vehicle during which the driver of SUV jumped due to which it got damaged.

Later it was seized.  The miscreants were identified as Jabbar Khan (35), Raees Khan (35), Irshad Khan(20), Firoz Khan(20)  and Jameel Khan(35) of Parwalia area. Details of the miscreants and their involvement in the crime would be investigated.

After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 429 of the IPC and section 5 of Madhya Pradesh Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act and section 25 of the Arms Act.

Police have demanded district collector Sudama Khade for booking the arrested under National Security Act (NSA) and later the accused were booked under NSA after orders were issued by district collector Khade.
