Govt nurses to undergo bridge course, applications invited

The State Health Department under Ayushman Bharat scheme has invited online application for six-months Bridge Course (Certificate Course) from nurses upto December 10, 2018.

Commissioner, Health, R Prasanna informed that the certificate course for the nurses is presently open for 300 seats out of which 126 seats are for General candidates, 96 for Scheduled Tribe category, 36 seats for Scheduled Caste and 42 seats for Other Backward Castes.

Mission Director, National Health Mission and Director, Health and Family Welfare Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhurre said that the applications have been invited from the interested candidates for the course. The main aim is to extend the health services to nearby areas.

In each district, two Primary Health Centres and three Sub health Centre sare being converted into Health and Wellness Centre.  In such centres, along with integrated primary health services, prevention of diseases and steps to promote health has been included.

Dr Bhurre said that on completion of the six months certification course, the candidates would be posted at Sub Health Centres. They would be giving service as ‘Mid-level Service Provider’.

The eligibility of the course is that should be BSc or Post Basic or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) pass or has Chhattisgarh Nursing Council live registration.

The candidate should be less than 35 years of age. The age limit for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe is 40 years. The candidates have to clear the examination for posting. During the training period, a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month would be paid and boarding will be taken care of.

The candidates successfully completing the course would be taken on contract period with honorarium of Rs 16500 per month and field practice and based on performance incentive of maximum Rs 15000 would be given.

The written examination would be held on December 23. The examinations would be held at Divisional headquarters of Raipur, Bilaspur, Surguja (Ambikapur), Bastar (Jagdalpur) and Durg.
