Hry Minister urges people to assist Govt in conserving environment

Haryana Forests Minister, Rao Narbir Singh on Wednesday urged the people of the state to assist the government in the steps being taken to conserve the forest resources and save the wildlife.

Rao Narbir Singh said that Chief Minister Manohar Lal will be the chief guest in the State Level function of Wildlife Conservation Week to be held at Masani Barrage in district Rewari on October 5. The function would be inaugurated by planting saplings, he said.

The Minister also said that Herbal Park and Eco-Tourism Centre have been established at Masani Barrage, and this place has significance due to its biodiversity, ecological sustainability, tourism  and, education and research.

Wildlife such as black buck, peacock, nilgai and, grey and brown francolin are found in this area. Apart from this, Peacock and Chinkara Breeding Centre has been established at Jhabua Forest, he said.
