Int’l Conference Pikan-2018 in NITK ends
Kurukshetra: The valedictory of three-day international conference PIICON-2018, organised by National Institute of Technology-Kurukshetra, was completed successfully on Wednesday.
Head of Electrical Engineering Department Dr Ratna Dahiya (General Chair of PIICON-2018) said that in total 135 research papers have been presented in the conference. Technical Chair Dr Ashwani Kumar thanked Dr DP Kothari (Former Director, IIT Delhi), Dr Bhim Singh (Professor, IIT Delhi), Dr SC Srivastava (Professor, IIT Kanpur), Dr VK Sood (Professor, University of Ontario),
Dr CC Reddy (Professor, IIT Ropar) for delivering expert lectures in the conference.
UT to host India’s 1st travelling food showcase
Chandigarh: India’s first travelling food showcase — The Travelling Kitchen’s – Winter Garden — is all set to kick off in Chandigarh. The Travelling Kitchen is an interactive culinary platform that showcases some of the most celebrated food and beverages brands from tier-I cities to food enthusiasts from some of the fastest developing cities across the country over the course of three days. The unique food festival concept will be unveiled on January 18 and will be held till January 20 at Chandigarh Golf Academy, Sector-6, Chandigarh.
Sukhbir appoints Keetu as Barnala halqa in-charge
Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday appointed Kulwant Singh Keetu as Barnala halqa in-charge. This will be in addition to his current responsibility as the Barnala district president, said SAD’s senior vice president and spokesperson Dr Daljit Singh Cheema.
