Former Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Chief and senior Congress leader Dhanendra Sahu on Sunday said that he too was a front runner for the chief ministerial post in the state.
“If High Command provides me this responsibility then I would prove to be efficient and will also do my level best to fulfill the aspirations and the trust shown by the people of state”, he said.
If Congress comes to power then the Chief Minister should be either from Other Backward Class or Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, Sahu said.
“He (CM) must essentially be from farmer’s background so that he could be sensitive towards the plight of farmers”, he said.
