Chhattisgarh State Assembly Speaker Charandas Mahant will inaugurate the ‘Rajim Maghi Punni Mela’ (Rajim Fair) on Tuesday at 7.00 pm.
Acharya Agni Pitadhishwar Ramkrishnanand of Amarkantak will be present while Religious Endowment, Tourism and Culture Minister Tamradwaj Sahu will preside over the function.
The event will be participated by several cabinet ministers, local MLAs and public representatives.
As per scheduled programme on February 19, at 4.00 am at confluence of three-river, ‘Maghi Punni’ holy bath ceremony will take place. ‘Sant Samagam’ will be organised from February 26 to March 4, 2019. Different traditional folk dance and music events will be too presented by local artists.
On eve of Rajim fair, religious endowment, tourism and culture minister Tamradwaj Sahu inspected the preparation undertaken at Rajim. He directed the officials to ensure security, arrangement for traffic and parking, entertainment for arriving devotees and organize local sports events.
Minister said that on February 26, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will be arriving at Rajim.
