Act on judicial panel’s recommendations: Raman

nReacting on FIRs lodged against him in Bijapur on Sarkeguda fake encounter issue, former Chief Minister Raman Singh in a statement said the state government instead of politicising the issue should take action as per recommendation of judicial commission.

Singh said it happened way back in 2012 and acting swiftly then his government ordered a judicial probe into the incident. Now as the report has been tabled, the government should act on the recommendations made by the commission.

Notable, the other day Bijapur police registered a complaint against the former Chief Minister as well as some police and security services officials into the matter on complaint raised by social workers and family members of the deceased.

A total of 17 innocent tribal ruralites were killed in the Sarkeguda encounter and as per report of the judicial commission jawans of the state police and security forces were responsible for the same.
