BJP plans six rallies of PM Modi in State

Friday, 15 November 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai". ... Like in 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to bank heavily on PM Narendra Modi's charisma to see them through the 2019 Assembly elections.

The State BJP with an attempt to bank upon Modi charisma has planned six election rallies at different parts; however, the State unit is yet to receive final consent from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Sources said that PM is likely to address one election rally in each phase. The State is going to have five phase election rallies.

The first election rally will be addressed by PM before November 24 either in Palamu or Garhwa. In the first phase elections will be held in 13 Assembly constituencies.

A senior BJP leader requesting anonymity said, “There is no bigger leader other than our star campaigner and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi jee will address election rallies in every phase trying to reach out to masses.”

In last Lok Sabha election too, PM Modi had addressed five election rallies and a road show in State Capital.  The chief minister himself had addressed more than 80 election rallies in the State.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP star campaigner list also includes Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath among others.

The senior BJP leader said, “Apart from developmental models of Centre and State, the BJP will also reach out to masses about abrogation of Article 370 and Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya.”

The Supreme Court bench last week ruled that the Hindu's claim that the Ram was born in Ayodhya is undisputed. The court upheld the claim that the disputed Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid site is the birthplace of Ram.

Sources said that to cash on people sentiments on Ayodhya and Article 370, the BJP star campaigners’ list will also includes names of firebrand BJP leader and union minister Giriraj Singh among others.

State Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Tribal Affairs minister Arjun Munda will be the star campaigners.

Sources said that the ruling party much before the announcement of election dates has been preparing for election. Chief Minister in this connection from September 15 to October 15 launched Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra touching nearly 81 Assembly segments.

Also, in September the State unit BJP launched Ghar Ghar Raghubar Abhiyan—a drive similar to Har Har Modi Ghar Ghar Modi launched by BJP in 2014 general elections after Narendra Modi, the then Gujarat Chief Minister was made the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.

Also in September, senior BJP leaders including ministers (in Centre and Raghubar Das Government) MPs (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha), MLAs camped in all 513 party’s organizational mandal across the state highlighting the achievements of centre and state government.
