Bombs hurled at house in Cuttack

Thursday, 22 August 2019 | PNS | CUTTACK

Three unidentified bike-borne miscreants hurled bombs at a house in Bhutia Sahi under the Lalbag police station in Cuttack city on Wednesday over a suspected land feud.

The miscreants came at around 1.30 pm and hurled four bombs at the house of one Goleka Parida near the Dagarpada Hanuman temple.

While three bombs went off, one didn’t explode. But there were no reports of any injury to anyone in the incident.

Later, one of the accused, identified as Hadia Parida, was nabbed by the Lalbag police.

Sources said accused Hadia and the victim Goleka are cousins and they had past enmity over land. But the reason behind the bomb attack is yet to be ascertained.

While Hadia was nabbed, two of his associates managed to give the police a slip.
