Huge number of prizes and perks await winning teams during Hack-A-BIT 2019, one of the biggest student hackathons in India being organised on the premises of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra from October 18 -20. This edition of Hack-A-BIT is supported by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP).
It is being organized by the Institution of Electrical and Electronics (IEEE) Student Branch, Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), BIT Mesra and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), BIT Mesra.
The initial phase of idea submission began from August 15, 2019 and saw teams from top technical colleges and universities participate. After intense scrutiny, a total of 52 teams were selected from more than 500 teams that participated in the idea submission phase.
Some of the leading technical institutions across the country participating in the event include Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Bennett University, Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani, West Bengal, Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur.
A plethora of prizes will be awarded to the winning teams that include 1st prize- Rs 40,000 plus Goodies, 2nd prize - Rs. 30,000 plus Goodies, 3rd prize- Rs. 20,000 plus Goodies, Best Hardware Hack gets Rs. 10,000 cash, Best All-Girls Team gets Rs. 10,000 cash, Best Garage Article gets goodies worth Rs. 5,000, the team which comes fourth gets an Amazon Echo Dot, the team which comes fifth gets Boat headphones and earphones, the team which bags the sixth position gets Red Gear Manta gaming set, the team which bags the seventh position gets Mi Band 3, the team which has the best cloud deployment gets a cash prize of Rs 10,000, the team which wins the Matic Challenge gets a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
Also, the team which wins the ably Challenge gets a cash prize of Rs 12,000 and the team that bags the second prize of Rs. 8,000, the team which wins Promo Done Challenge gets a contract worth 500 pounds, 100$ Cash Prize for Best Bot built using Zulip API, 1-year Windscribe free license for the winners, Creative Team will provide material kit pro for each team, $1000 credits to Bugsee services for the winners, Balsamiq cloud promo code, Invision free licenses and Jet Brains free licenses.
