Tuesday, 14 May 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

The State Congress Committee on Monday attacked the State Government for erratic supply of electricity and terrible services at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) and said that uninterrupted electricity has become dream for the people of the State Capital. The State Congress will hold agitation across the State against poor supply of electricity on May 20.

State Congress Committee Spokespersons Rajiv Ranjan Prasad and Alok Kumar Dubey jointly said that due to poor supply of electricity situation of water supply is also worsening day by day. “Due to scarcity of electricity and water the services at the hospitals have also been affecting. Last year three patients died in operation theatre due to non availability of electricity. On the other hand if a political party holds agitation to raise issue regarding electricity, water and others then the government files cases against them,” they added.

Both the spokespersons have demanded that the government should form strategy to supply of uninterrupted electricity.  “The government has given contract to Polycab for modification work in supply of electricity in last two years but the condition become worse instead of improvement. Such kinds of company should be black listed as soon as earlier.  The government should keep in mind that the holy months of Muslim community is going so electricity supply should be improved,” they added.

The Chief Minister has kept Department of Electricity to himself, however, the condition is so pitiable, they added.
