Drivers die in truck-tanker clash, fire

In a freak accident, two persons were killed when a truck collided head on with a LPG tanker in front of the Jujumura police station on NH-55 in Sambalpur district late on Friday night.

The deceased were the drivers of the two vehicles.

According to reports, the intensity of the collision was so high that both the vehicles caught fire. While the front portions of both the vehicles were completed gutted, the drivers were charred to death on the spot.

Receiving information, two firefighting teams from Jujumura and Sambalpur rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The vehicular movement on the road was disrupted due to the mishap.
