Easter Vigil was observed in all the Catholic Churches of the city from 10 pm to 1 am. The climax of Easter Vigil Service was the celebration of Eucharist.

Archbishop Leo Cornelio, celebrating the Easter vigil on Saturday night at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Jehangirabad said in his address that millions of Christians have accepted the truth of Jesus resurrection, which not only presents the glorious state into which Jesus himself rose but also promises others everlasting happiness in a transformed life beyond the grave.

“Whoever we are, we are well advised to ponder Jesus' victory over death.

That is to say that for us believers, the resurrection of Jesus is not merely a historical event of the past, but it is also a life giving event to all those who believe, till the end of time,” he added.

Fr. Maria Stephen, the PRO wishing all the Christians a Joyful Easter said, “We need to find our own ‘Little Resurrections’ in our lives here on earth, with  their ups and downs (tragedies, disappointments, betrayal, failures, unjust deaths etc)  in this ever changing world.

He invited all the people to come and celebrate ‘Easter Mahotsav’ to be held today at BSSS College  at 6.30 pm, Where Christians of different denominations will be coming together to celebrate this Easter festival. 

There will be many, Public representatives, Religious leaders and many dignitaries to witness the communal harmony at Easter Mahotsav.

There will be cultural performances from Churches and Schools along with

various delicious food stalls for the people to enjoy themselves.
