Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary and party incharge for Chhattisgarh Anil Jain raised demand to shift the sleaze CD case to Delhi or any other state.

He was interacting with media on his arrival at Raipur on Monday. He will oversee the preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit for commissioning the Lara Power Project in Raigarh on February 8.

The sleaze CD case is related to former BJP minister Rajesh Munat in which CBI had conducted the probe and filed the chargesheet in the court.

Jain said, “Shifting the case will help for a fair probe. The probe will be affected if it continues in Chhattisgarh as the state government is working in vindictive.”

Reacting to the demand, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said, “Anil Jain has crossed the limits of decency as CBI had conducted the probe and the filed the chargesheet before the court. Now, seeking to shift the case to other state has no relevance.”

“People have rejected the BJP after in recently held polls which it is facing internal strife on daily basis. It seems Jain had been frustrated over it due to which he is unable to control the situation, so is raising issues to divert attention,” claimed Trivedi.
