Keep yourself in position of victim and think what you would expect and this would help you to work for justice and help the victim in true sense, said Minister of Tribal Affairs and Tribes Welfare Omkar Singh Marak at the inauguration of seminar on ‘Sensitisation towards Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste’
He said people from weaker sections -Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes should be helped with compassion and sensitivity, so that they do not feel neglected in the society.
Tribal Welfare minister was addressing at the inaugural session of the two-day state level seminar of police officials and experts on ‘Sensitisation towards Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste’.
Director General of Police Vijay Kumar Singh said that police always have opportunity to help and police officers should this section of society which lagged in progress. Police officers should come forward to help the people of the society who are not able to demand justice.
Additional Director General of Police posted at Adim Jati Kalyan (AJK) Pragya Richa Shrivastava said that this kind of seminar is organized twice a year by the AJK branch to increase professional efficiency of investigators and observers supervisors in solving cases related to SC and ST.
On the first day in the seminar was AJK branch screened a film in technical session, as well as highlighted better methods of research.
Apart from the details experts gave representations on the issues related to SC/ ST and Scheduled Torture Prevention Act, NGO's contribution, relief and rehabilitation amongst these sections.
