Thursday, 27 June 2019 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh on Wednesday directed the officials to launch a special campaign to give new look to the buildings of primary health centers, community centers and schools along with the department's buildings in the State.

Apart from this, the colour scheme of the buildings should be different so that the public could identify about the level of the health centre, Rao Narbir Singh said. He also said that in the last four years, the road network has been strengthened in Haryana.

The construction of ROB/RUB bridges have been  carried out on priority basis wherever necessary  and  also on other main roads of Haryana. No repair or construction work will be left incomplete in the entire state, the Minister said.

He also said that the department constructs six karam, that is, 33 feet wide roads. About 305 km long roads have also been identified which are less than six karam and efforts are being made to get work done on them.

Rao Narbir further said that earlier the work of roads was got done by the Public Works Minister on the repetitive requests of the MLAs, but since the formation of present State Government, this system has been changed and work plan has been prepared in advance for the roads in every assembly constituency irrespective of the fact to which party the MLA belongs.

He added that construction of 30 RUBs/ROBs has so far been completed and soon the foundation stone of new ROBs will be laid in Rewari, Narnaul, Mahendragarh.
