Kandhamal BJD MP and educationist Dr Achyuta Samanta would be seen in reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) hosted by Bollowood superstar Amitabh Bachchan on the Sony Entertainment channel.
Samanta, founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), would feature in a special Karamveer episode of the quiz show. The episode would be aired at 9 pm on November 15. He would share the ‘hot seat’ of the show alongside Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu.
Dr Samanta had taken Odisha’s popular dessert ‘Chenna Poda’ and the Saura painting made by KISS students for Amitabh Bachchan. This is the second time he would share the screen with Big B. Earlier, he had appeared with him on the sets of Banega Swachh India Campaign by NDTV.
The Karamveer series of the show hosts people who have contributed to the society in various spheres. Recently, two others from Odisha, ace sprinter Dutee Chand and senior IPS officer Satya Narayan Pradhan, featured in the special series of the KBC.
