Pre-monsoon spell gives relief to Bhopal

Much awaited rainfall provided relief in the evening in the State Capital on Wednesday still monsoon rainfall are yet to arrive in the state capital. Thundery activities and heavy showers were witnessed after dense cloud and dusty storms in the evening.

After the heavy showers lashed the state capital weatherman confirmed that it is pre-monsoon showers and the state capital has to be wait for arrival of monsoon. Harsh weather conditions prevailed for the past 4-5 days and providing relief rainfall was witnessed on Wednesday.

Day temperatures have dipped significantly still the hot and humid conditions prevailed in the state and state capital. The state capital recorded day temperature at 38.7 degree Celsius while night temperature was recorded at 26.9 degree Celsius and according to the forecast day temperatures are likely to witness around 39 degree Celsius and night temperature at 27 degree Celsius. 

Khajurhao, Rewa and Sagar recorded day temperature at 40 degree Celsius. At few places day temperatures recorded significant rise in temperatures.

Chhindwara recorded day temperature at 39 degree Celsius which was 7.2 degree Celsius above the normal temperature.

Rainfall has been witnessed across the state as most of the regions have been covered by monsoon and those which are left would be covered with the next two days.

Kukshi recorded 5 cm of rainfall which was the highest in the state in the past 24 hours while Shivpuri and Kareli recorded 4 cm of rainfall, Gadarwara, Chhatarpur and Khilchipur recorded 3 cm of rainfall. Significant increase in temperatures was witnessed in Rewa and Jabalpur divisions.
