Monday, 27 May 2019 | PNS | Haridwar

Thrilled on the success of his companion Acharya Balkrishna getting an award at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva for his contribution in the field of healthcare, Swami Ramdev said that Balkrishna showed how through the traditional systems one can treat the big threat of lifestyle diseases like diabetes and hypertension which are the main causes of organ failures in human body. He said that 80 per cent of the eye diseases were due to diabetes.  Obesity, stress, anxiety were leading to such lifestyle diseases for which Yoga and Ayurveda with were the only panacea.

He said, “Like in allopathic medicines evidence-based analysis has been given for Ayurvedic medicines for diabetes -Madhunashini, nerve tonic -Medha Vati and BP tablet Mukta Vati. Scientific cycle of Sarvkalp Kwath (mixture of herbs) which works wonders in these diseases is also complete. Very soon the benefits of Patanjali Ayurvedic formulation- Ashwashila will be published in top world journals like Nature.  Just like allopathy, now the whole world will recognise evidence based Ayurvedic medicine too.”
