‘Saroj makes women graceful’

Madhuri Dixit Nene, who has joined creative forces with veteran choreographer Saroj Khan for a dance number Tabha ho gaye in Kalank, says the dance director knows how to make women look graceful on-screen.

“Saroj ji is one of the choreographers who goes beyond the surface of lyrics of a song. In cinema, we tend to create steps keeping the camera angle in mind. But Saroj ji doesn't limit the dance in physical movements. She finds a spiritual aspect and works on expressions. Perhaps that is why every song we did together, holds a recall value even today,” Madhuri said.

‘How do I describe what the Himalayas make me feel? I just can't, because words fall short. Their magnificence and spirituality is something I constantly keep going to, because it makes my soul better. Amongst all my travels in this world, I rate my time in the Himalayas the highest, and amongst all the things I love about India, I feel proudest that we have the Himalayas.’

Don’t dig up old tweets: Kinnaman

Actor Joel Kinnaman says there is no value in digging up an old tweet or finding a bad joke written by someone ten years ago.

Kinnaman feels people should refrain from jumping to judgments, and look for the intention behind the words sometimes.

“There is a negative side of this movement and it is something that I really dislike. That is the call-out culture where people are offended by things. What is really important is that people go to the bottom of the intent of what is being said and not dig up an old tweet (in which) someone has said (something) or someone had written a bad joke ten years ago. I don't think there is value in that,” he said.
