6 top IPS officers transferred in Delhi

In a major reshuffle at the top level, six IPS officers of the Delhi Police were transferred and given new responsibilities in the national Capital.

The Delhi Police in its expansion has also inducted the post of Special Commissioner of Police, Law and order of Western zone (Delhi West and Northern range) and appointed 1990 batch IPS Sanjay Singh, who was posted as Special CP, Transport Range and Licensing.

Earlier, there were two posts of Special CP, Law and Order as Northern zone (Central, Eastern and North range) and South zone (Western, New Delhi and Southern range).

According to the order issued by Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal’s office on September 15, the 1989 batch IPS Ranvir Singh Krishnia has been given responsibility as Special CP, Law and Order, South Zone while Satish Golcha, IPS 1992 batch has been appointed as Special CP, Law and Order Central Range.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Chandra, IPS 1988 batch has been appointed as Special CP, operations and Licensing and Robin Hibu, IPS 1993 batch has been given responsibility as Special CP, Armed Police and Planning and Implementation.

Anand Mohan, IPS 1994 batch has been appointed as Special CP, Training and Transport Range. The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Program and Communication, Amar Singh Meena (DANIPS) has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Communications.
