AIIMS junior doctor kills self by jumping off 10th floor of hostel

The 25-year-old junior resident doctor of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) allegedly jumped off the 10th floor of AIIMS hostel on Friday. Police said that the doctor scummbed to his injuries during the treatment on Friday.

According to a senior police official, Dr Anurag, who was Junior doctor at Department of Psychiatry, allegedly jumped from the 10th floor of hostel at 5 pm on Friday.

"Patient was shifted to AIIMS Casualty and he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment," added the senior police official.

Police said that investigation has been started to know the reason behind the extreme step. Anurag’s mobile phone was also found at the 10th floor.
