Bhopal emerges as Central India’s education hub

Monday, 07 September 2020 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

The State capital has in recent years positioned itself as a fast-growing educational hub of Central India, offering multi-stream facilities for higher education. At the same time, several parts of the city have seen a major rise in terms of numerous coaching centers and institutes aimed at preparing students for competitive exams like IAS, GATE, medical and engineering entrance exams like JEE and NEET.

However, in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak and strict lockdown across Madhya Pradesh, the coaching and mentoring businesses in the city and the State have suffered a lot over the past few months. Ever since lockdown started, home tutors and coaching centers based out of Bhopal and other parts of Madhya Pradesh have been constantly struggling to sustain their offline businesses, and a majority of them are trying to take the online route to impart education.

In the current times when online teaching-learning is obviously becoming the new norm for the education industry, the lack of one single platform to holistically digitize the coaching and tutoring business was felt immensely; this is exactly where ed-tech start-up Teachmint, founded by IITians from Bhopal,  has come to the rescue with their free live tutoring mobile application.
