CCL celebrates 46th CIL Foundation Day

The 46th foundation day of Coal India Limited (CIL) was celebrated at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Headquarter, Ranchi and across the operational areas. A plethora of programmes were organised throughout the company to mark the occasion. It is to be noted that CCL has bagged the Corporate Safety Award for exemplary performance in the field of safety of mines.

At CCL HQ Ranchi, CMD CCL, PM Prasad along with Director Technical (Operations), VK Srivastava, Director Tech (P&P), Bhola Singh, Director (Finance) NK Agarwal paid floral tributes to the martyred Coal warriors at Shaheed Smarak. Coal India flag along with CCL flag was unfurled and balloons were released to celebrate the occasion. General managers, HoDs and other employees were present on the occasion. Similar programs were organized in other areas of CCL in which the employees participated with full vigor and enthusiasm.

Speaking on the occasion Prasad greeted everybody present on the foundation day. He said that Coal India Limited along with its subsidiaries is committed to contribute in the development of the Nation. He further said that he is confident that despite the challenges posed by the Covid Pandemic company will attain the production target. He expressed his gratitude to the company’s workers and said that even during the Covid Pandemic the workers have made sure that there is no dearth of Coal for the power plants in Country. He added that the company has undertaken various measures for the welfare of the stakeholders.  He expressed gratitude to the Government of Jharkhand for their continuous support.

Later in the day a program organized at Coal India Limited was broadcasted live which was watched by CMD, Directors and all the other employees. Coal Minister, GoI, Prahlad Joshi addressed the employees on the occasion and extended his greetings to them. Secretary Coal, GoI, Anil Jain and Chairman Coal India, Pramod Agarwal also wished everybody on the occasion.

All the safety protocols related to Covid pandemic were adhered. Everybody present wore masks and followed social distancing.
