Cong slams BJP for Rajasthan imbroglio

Tuesday, 14 July 2020 | PNS | Ranchi

Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alliance partner in Chief Minister Hemant Soren led coalition government in the State, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) on Monday said that the entire Country is engulfed in global epidemic COVID 19 and BJP is engaged in purchasing and selling democracy.

Talking to media, JPCC Spokespersons, Alok Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta said that when BJP leaders are seen to be failing in their intention to topple the Government in Rajasthan, with the help of their favourite officers sitting in various central investigative agencies, efforts are being made to intimidate Congress leaders. The humiliation of the mandate, public sentiment and patriotism has been in the blood of BJP-Jana Sangh leaders, their role in the freedom struggle of the Country is not hidden from anyone, now the BJP leaders are indulging in the humiliation of public opinion and public sentiment in a new way, they added.

"By insulting the public sentiment in the democratic system, the BJP formed its own government in spite of not having a majority in other states including Goa, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, but now in Rajasthan also it is trying to break the limits of the democratic system. The people of the Country have now fully understood the true character of the BJP and as soon as the by-elections are held in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP Government will fall, while there is no possibility to get success to topple the Government in Rajasthan," said Dubey.

Hitting hard on BJP top leaders, Shahdeo said that in Bihar too, the erstwhile government was destabilised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. People, who raise their voice against them, sometimes get a notice to vacate the house and  on sometimes their SPG security is lifted, he added.

Gupta said that the political level of the BJP leaders has dropped so much that the senior leader of the party in Goa claimed to form the Government even before the funeral pyre of the late Manohar Parrikar was not extinguished, on the other hand under the slanderous political trick of intimidation, the raids are initiated by putting pressure on the investigating agencies at the whereabouts of various Congress leaders of the State, he added.
