Development projects formulated in public interest: Haryana CM

Monday, 26 October 2020 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday said development projects and infrastructure are formulated in public interest so that people can avail full benefit of these facilities.

“It is for the third time that he has come to interact with people and development works will be done according to their requirement,” the Chief Minister said while interacting with the people after taking an overview of the Railway under Bridge (RUB) which is to be built on the Kalka/Pinjore railway line.

He said in a democratic government, this kind of infrastructure is built for the convenience of the people. The government wants to provide relief to people from traffic congestion by building this underpass as well as better market facilities for the residents of the area. Two types of maps were prepared for the convenience of the public for this purpose. This work will be done in consonance with the people, he said.

Manohar Lal added Pinjore and Kalka have gained prominence after the construction of National Highway. This is an archaeological site and is well-developed for tourism.

Even after the construction of the bypass, people specially come to visit the old city. Apart from this, people going to Himachal still visit the city. The completion of widening of Pinjore-Baddi Road will furtherenhance the beauty of the city, he said. The Kalka Traders Board has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the project.
