District admin awaits orders for distributing smart ration cards

Saturday, 26 September 2020 | PNS | Dehradun

The Dehradun district administration will initiate the distribution of smart ration cards to the beneficiaries soon after the administration gets the permission from the State Government. While talking to The Pioneer, the Dehradun district supply officer (DSO), Jaswant Singh Kandari stated that the beneficiaries have been depositing their applications to update their details for new smart ration cards regularly and it is still an ongoing process.

According to him, this process will continue as long as people will keep modifying and updating their details of ration cards through applications because the administration is bound to update the most recent details of every beneficiary. He further informed that the district administration has not commenced the process of distributing smart ration cards because the State Government has not instructed them yet to do so. When the administration will get the permission, the beneficiaries will be issued smart ration cards, added Kandari.
