Haryana reports 7 fatalities, 1,240 fresh positive cases

Haryana on Sunday reported seven COVID-19 related fatalities and 1,240 fresh positive cases.

The death toll stood at 1,727 while the total infections have reached 158304 in the state, according to the Haryana Health Department’s evening bulletin.

There were 1,0295 active cases in the State.

According to the health bulletin, out of 1240 fresh cases reported, a maximum of 366 positive cases were reported in Gurugram followed by 186 in Faridabad and 101 in Hisar.

The worst-affected district in the state-Faridabad has till now reported 23901 positive cases and 243 deaths. Gurugram has so far reported 27629 cases and 201 COVID-19 related deaths.

Among the 172 critical COVID-19 patients in the state, 145 were on oxygen support while 27 were on ventilator,.

146282 patients including 1086 in the last 24 hours have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals in the state, the bulletin stated.

According to the health bulletin, the fatality rate is recorded at 1.09 percent in Haryana. The case-doubling rate in Haryana on Sunday stood at 47 days, COVID positive rate was 6.28 per cent and recovery rate was recorded at 92.41 percent.

As many as 25.27 lakh samples have been tested till date in Haryana. The report of 5298 samples is awaited, it added.
