HP Guv, CM felicitate people on Dussehra

Shimla: Himachal Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have felicitated the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. The Governor said that the Dussehra festival symbolizes victory of good over evil and wished the festival would bring happiness, peace and prosperity in the lives of the people of the State.Extending his felicitations on this occasion, Chief Minister said that festival of Dussehra signifies the victory of dharma over adharma. He said that the festival symbolises victory of good over evil. The Dussehra festival inspires us to follow the path of dharma (righteousness) and truth always wins, he said.

Mass raids conducted on electricity theft

Jalandhar: Mass raids were conducted under the supervision of Harjinder Singh Bansal distribution circle PSPCL Jalandhar and a fine of Rs 13.06 lakh was imposed on the consumers indulging in theft of electricity. These raids found irregularities in the area of Model Town, Cantt, East, West and Phagwara Divisions. During  raids 2048 cases were checked out of which 30 were found stealing power and other irregularities.  Chief Engineer Jainender Dania,  Distribution North  Zone, Jalandar appealed to the consumer not to steal electricity and if anyone steals around your house report it to mobile no. 96461-16301. Harjinder Singh Bansal Distribution Circle Jalandhar requested consumers to pay Electricity Bills well in time to  avoid disconnection of power supply.

Haryana CM greets people on Dussehra

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Dussehra. In a message issued here,  the Chief Minister said that Dussehra symbolizes the victory of good over evil. Therefore, people should celebrate this festival with love in order to end all evil. He said that the people of the state should celebrate this festival with full enthusiasm in keeping with the rules of maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, and cleaning hand in view of COVID-19. He wished that this festival brings peace and prosperity to everyone.
