Like other employees, drivers too work round clock braving Covid-19

Like employees of other services like Health, police and BMC, Tourism department's drivers are also working round the clock braving Coronavirus.

To help doctors, nursing staff and sanitation workers with medicines and medical supplies in every division and districts of the State, more than 20 drivers of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation have been working for the last 18 days round the clock, said Principal Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Faiz Ahmed Kidwai.

Kidwai said that these drivers are among the Corona warriors who have maintained the availability of equipment, infection prevention products such as sanitisers, mask PPE kits, personal globes, etc.

The transport wing has worked like a warrior, away from home and family in this hour of crisis and under hard situation working day and night to dispense their duty. The mutual cooperation and coordination between MP Tourism Development Corporation, and MP Public Health Services Corporation Ltd (MPPHSCL), availability and continuity of medicines and other medical related items throughout the state has been maintained.

The fleet of the transport branch of the Tourism Corporation consists 14-15 Toyota Innova , 4-5 Tempo Traveler vehicles which are being used for Medical Equipments and other medical related items as per demand and requirement and number could be increase. If some kind of repair work in these vehicles is required the workshop of the transport branch are also functional.

All drivers have also been provided with masks and sanitisers, as well as proper arrangements for their food has been made.
