A local sent notice to the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) for purportedly damaging his television during sanitisation. After some councillors asked the municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey to provide big vehicles to spray disinfectants in their wards, he said that the public places should be sterilised carefully and only on those days when the public is not present nearby at all as it can be harmful to other things too. He informed that recently a man complained to the corporation that during a sanitisation drive, one percentage sodium hypochlorite solution got sprayed on his television through the window which damaged his television. He also asked for compensation from MCD, therefore, Pandey advised councillors to spray disinfectant through small vehicles and machines and if there would be a containment zone in any ward, big vehicles would definitely be sent for sanitisation.
