Taman Singh Sonwani has been appointed as Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC).
As order issued by the Governor said that Sonwani, a 2004 batch IAS officer, will head the CGPSC. He was till now the Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat with additional charge of Director (Agriculture).
Sonwani has taken voluntary retirement from the Indian Administrative Services to become the CGPSC Chairman.
Sonwani had earlier served as the District Collector of Narayanpur and Kanker.
