Strive to secure BJP at Centre, State for next 30 years: Bhagat

The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that the party has to focus on developing workers who are committed to working for establishing the BJP government and organisation at the Centre and State for the next 30 years. He said this while speaking at the inaugural session of a BJP training programme here on Sunday. He exhorted the party workers to strive towards achieving the aim while ensuring their own and others’ safety amidst the Covid pandemic.

Later, speaking at the concluding session, the chief minister said that today the BJP is one of the major political parties in the world with every small and big worker having played an important role in taking the party to its present position. Referring to the party’s training, he said that importance is accorded to being goal oriented. “All of us are working to lend pace to the party. We all are among those workers who are responsible for taking the party forward,” said Rawat.

Regarding the state government’s works he said that more than 100 growth centres had been started on different concepts. He also referred to the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana (MSY) and other initiatives taken to facilitate self employment and boost livelihoods of the people. Uttarakhand is also the first state to provide Rs five lakh annual medical cover to every family under the Atal Ayushman Yojana. More than 22,000 hospitals across the country are registered under this scheme. Free treatment has been facilitated for more than two lakh patients under this scheme so far. Declaring Gairsain the summer capital is another major achievement of the state government. The focus is now on developing facilities necessary for a capital. Rawat also referred to planned efforts aimed at encouraging reverse migration.
