Banda was rocked by the sensational triple murder of a woman and her two children, one of them a constable, by their neighbours late on Friday night.
While four persons were arrested in this connection, the motive for murder is reported to be a petty dispute over throwing of waste outside the house.
As per reports, neighbours of Rama Devi (50) attacked her and her daughter Nisha (22) and son Abhishek (24) with sharp-edged weapons near Chamauri crossing on Friday night. Abhishek, a police constable, was posted in Prayagraj while his younger brother is undergoing police training.
While four arrests were made, the police were searching for the aides of the assailants.
In Agra, a lady doctor was murdered and her two children were stabbed when an acquaintance attacked them with a sharp-edged weapon allegedly after a robbery on Friday afternoon.
As per reports, Shubham, who used to work for a TV channel service provider, visited Kamla Nagar residence of Dr Nisha Singhal for recharging her set top box. Later, he slit Dr Nisha’s throat and stabbed her two children in another room before fleeing with some valuables.
On being informed, the victim’s surgeon husband rushed to the hospital where Dr Nisha succumbed.
Later, a search operation was launched to net the assailant and a police team nabbed Shubham who was trying to escape on a bike. On being asked to stop, the assailant opened fire at the cops and in retaliatory firing was shot and injured.
The police also recovered a bag with stolen jewellery and cash from him.
