Woman raped inside Rouse Avenue court, staffer held

A 38-year-old woman was allegedly raped inside a room of the Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court by a staffer. Police said that the incident was reported on Monday following which the accused was also arrested.

According to a senior police official, on June 22, a police control room (PCR) call was received that a woman had been raped on Rouse Avenue Court premises by a person who is a court staff.

"In her statement, the woman alleged that the accused, who is a court staff, raped her inside a room of the Rouse Avenue Court," said the senior police official adding that a medical examination has been done.

"A case has been registered at the IP Estate police station and the accused has been arrested," said the senior police official.
