Event community steps forward for Covid assistance

Sunday, 30 May 2021 | PNS | New Delhi

Amid the Covid-induced national distress, Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) has come to the rescue of people in need with the formation of Covid task force. Under this initiative, EEMA roped in volunteers and staff for the management of the Sant Nirankari Covid facility, Burari and at Rakab Ganj Gurudwara. It provided real-time updates on oxygen availability in Delhi NCR along with addresses twice a day. In partnership with Apollo, it provided priority doctor consultation and 15 per cent discount on medicines.

It also launched CoviHeal Covid Facility, Gurugram. “We believe the event management community is best at crisis management, planning, innovation and execution,” said EEMA president Roshan Abbas. While its general secretary Siddhartha Chaturvedi added, "EEMA with its strong member support has showed its mettle.”
