Remdesivir recovered from black marketeers

Chandigarh: Haryana Food and Drugs Administration Department has recovered six vials and four vials of Remdesivir from the black- marketeers near Aankhir Chowk, Faridabad and Metro Hospital, Faridabad respectively in two different raids conducted by its Drug Control officers, said Home-cum-Health Minister Anil Vij. He said the accused have been arrested and FIRs have also been lodged under Essential Commodity Act, Drugs Act, Disaster Management Act and Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC. Vij said so far, more than 15 FIRs have been lodged in different districts regarding black marketing of medicines.

 

‘quick resolve Power issues in health instituations ’

Chandigarh: Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will provide 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to medical institutions, hospitals, quarantine centres, dispensaries and oxygen manufacturing units engaged in treatment being given to Corona patients, said a spokesman. He said the power issues of these institutions will be resolved on priority basis. The control rooms have been set up at the district level in this regard. 173 units of blood collected at camp

Chandigarh: Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (Regd.) organized its 215th blood donation camp at PGIMER here under strict COVID19 guidelines and restrictions. 173 units of blood were collected from respected blood donors.  Rakesh Kumar Rassila, Assistant Sub Inspector, Chandigarh Police donated blood for 126th time in this camp.  A spokesman said the Trust has successfully organised 30 blood donation camps since June 2020 with cooperation of esteemed voluntary blood donors during COVID19 lockdown period.

 

Hry procures 80.76 lakh tonnes of wheat

Chandigarh: More than 83.49 lakh tonnes of wheat has arrived at 396 procurement centres in Haryana, out of which a total of 80.76 lakh tonnes of wheat has been procured, said a spokesman. He said 107 tonnes of wheat was procured on Sunday. Till date, as many as 928462 J- forms of 499058 farmers have been issued and an amount of Rs 12,977 crore has been transferred directly to the account farmers whose crops have been procured.

 

50-bedded COVID centre in panchkula

Panchkula: Sant Nirankari Mission has dedicated its Sector-9 Panchkula situated Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, to fight the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. The Mission made the 50 bedded Covid-19 treatment centre with infrastructure available in Panchkula to Haryana Government. With the assistance of the government, provision for beds and other equipment along with food has been done by Sant Nirankari Mission, said KK Kashyap, zonal incharge Chandigarh.
