C’garh records 70.08 pc PLF

The thermal power plants under Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Co have registered a record 70.08 Plant Load Factor (PLF) against the national average of 51.59 PLF.

An official communication said the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has in its December 2020 monthly report stated that the Chhattisgarh thermal power plants' PLF was 70.08.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who holds the Energy portfolio. has praised the company Chairman Ankit Anand and MD (Generation) N.K. Bijora for the achievement by competing with 33 state power sector  thermal power plants for the last six months and remaining on the top.

Bijora said this could be achieved due to team work of officers and employees with best practices of management. Even during Covid19, the power generation in the state was at its best.

He said the CEA states that Chhattisgarh stands first,        followed by Telangana State Power Generation with 68.25 PLF.
