CM to open Road Safety World Series Cricket meet

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bagel will      inaugurate here on March 5 the Road Safety World Series Cricket Tournament which will bring together players from six countries and which seeks to create public        awareness about road safety.

The contest will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium at Nava Raipur from March 5 to March 21. A total of 15 matches will be        organized.

Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar reviewed the preparations for the tournament. He told officials to ensure that all necessary preparations are readied ahead of March 5.

Transport Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh said all Covid-19 prevention guidelines will be strictly followed during the tournament. All national and international players will be screened and tested at the airport.

A temporary mobile tower will be installed for communication during the tournament.

Tickets for the tournament have been priced at from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000. This includes general tickets worth Rs 500, Rs 700, Rs 1,100 and Rs 1,500.

The tournament will see players from India, Bangladesh, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, England and South Africa in action.
