Wednesday, 12 May 2021 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Government has directed all the Deputy Commissioners of the state to continue the work of registration of deeds in tehsils while adhering to various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued due to the Covid-19.

The work of registration of deeds should continue so that people do not face any kind of problem, said an official spokesperson.

A spokesman said that a letter has been issued to all the Deputy Commissioners asking them that the registration of deeds in the tehsils should not be discontinued.

He said that during the review of deeds and stamp duty collected in various tehsils in the first week of the month of April and May, 2021, it has been found that in some tehsils the work of registration of deeds has been stopped.

In addition, complaints are also being received from citizens of various districts about non-availability of employees and sub-registrars in tehsils, the spokesman said.

Therefore, all the Deputy Commissioners will have to ensure that all the tehsils remain functional and the registration work is not affected due to non-availability of employees, he added.
