Govt will promote sports, players, claims minister

Chhattisgarh government is ready to extend all possible support to promote sports and sportspersons, said Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya on Sunday.

He said on Sunday while inaugurating a kabaddi competition at a village near Raipur, the state government is making all possible effort to promote youths in all fields by making a new policy.

He said that the state government is working to popularize sports among the youth from the rural areas so that the talented players of the state can glorify the state in the national and international sports events.

During the programme, Dahriya performed bhumi pujan for development works worth Rs 6 lakh for the construction of a shed near Chandrakar Samaj Bhavan.

The event was attended by Arang Janpad Panchayat president Khilesh Dewangan and others.
