IWCS, Ranchi inaugurates Inner Wheel Park

Innerwheel Club Swarnrekha in Ranchi District 325 Club President Neeta Narayan, along with Secretary Mala Srivastava and District Chairman Poonam Thakur were welcomed with great enthusiasm by the orphan girls of Maher, as per the Jharkhand culture, by ‘lota pani’, songs and dance. Innerwheel Park, which has been built by Innerwheel Club Swarnrekha Ranchi for children, was inaugurated. Simultaneously, shawls, socks, cloth bags and snacks were distributed by the district chairman on behalf of our club to the poor women. In the evening at the Gymkhana Club, she inspected all the project files. Nupur Shashank, the operator of our club, welcomed her and conducted the whole program very well. In Gymkhana Club, District Chairman Poonam Thakur distributed mosquito nets for the girls of Maher. A total of 22 members of the club were present on the occasion. Club Editor Neeta Shekhar said that the Chairman's visit was very commendable.

Selection trial for SAIL Cricket Team

For selection of players in SAIL Units Sports Club, Ranchi cricket team, selection trial has been organized on November 26 at SAIL Satellite Township Ground (Near DPS). It may be noted that SAIL Units Sports Club cricket team participates in Senior Division League and other competitions organized by Ranchi District Cricket Association. Cricket players who are interested for selection in this team have been invited to appear tomorrow at 8.00 am in the grounds of SAIL Satellite Township (near DPS). Interested players should report the above date to KP Patra at 8.00 AM. In the light of the Amrit Mahotsav year of Azadi, preference will be given to young players representing the state level or district level Under-19 cricket team this year.

Day-4 of ATAL FDP Program at XISS

The fourth-day of ongoing ATAL FDP on “Emerging Trends in Business Analytics for Managers” at Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi began with the first speaker of the day Dr Chandrani Singh, Director – MCA, Singhad Institute of Management, Post Doc Fellow in IT from Lincoln University, Malaysia and In-charge STES Singhad Data Centre. Dr Singh spoke on the relevance of business analytics for innovation practices. The second speaker Dr Hemant Palivela, Associate Vice President - AI and Machine Learning, eClerx, spoke on the necessary tools and data visualization for business analytics. Dr Paliwal outlined certain principles of data visualization such as keeping your audience in mind, choosing the chart wisely, thinking beyond the PowerPoint templates, direct attention to important detail etc. which make the outcome more appealing and accurate.

Signature campaign by BJP

Hundreds of BJP workers on Thursday held a signature campaign in Dhanbad to protest the alleged delay by the state government in announcing a cut in petroleum products to give relief to the common man. The BJP leaders organised such programmes at different petrol pumps that had a massive response with people putting up signature campaigns on flex boards. Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha led the BJP activists in Dhanbad sadar and other Senior leaders were present at different localities both at urban and suburban locations.
