Int’l standard football ground at Ranchi LightHouse project

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired an online review and progress meeting of the Light House Project, Ranchi, Jharkhand based on the latest technology on Saturday. During the meeting Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, Vinay Choubey said keeping in mind the demand of the people living near the project site, it was decided to construct a football ground based on international standards for sports and a community hall building with a capacity of 500 people for social functions.

The Prime Minister got acquainted with the construction process, work progress as well as the strategy of project implementation of the project of affordable housing.

During the meeting Choubey directed the project construction agency to develop five green areas around the 7 towers of the residential project. He also inspected the project site physically. He expressed satisfaction over the initial construction work. Along with the general components of the project, some specific construction works were also done.

The meeting was held in the under construction project site located in Dhurva, Sector-1, near Panchmukhi temple in Ranchi. Along with Choubey , Ranchi Municipal Commissioner, Mukesh Kumar, Director, Directorate of Urban Administration, Vijaya Jadhav and other senior officials of District Administration and Municipal Corporation attended the online review programme.

The progress of construction of affordable housing through drone camera and console set up in relation to the project was apprised to the Prime Minister by the representative of Light House Project’s construction agency SGC Magicrite.

It is to be noted that Ranchi’s Light House project is being constructed using the latest technology of 3D Volumetric Precast construction. With this technique the structure of the entire dwelling unit is prepared simultaneously, thereby reducing the wastage of bricks and other concrete materials. I have set a target of one year for construction of 1008 houses in the project of Ranchi.

The process of booking accommodation in this project under Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) area has started. Eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) can download the application form from RMC website www.ranchimunicipal.com. Application fee is Rs 5,000. The cost of one house of this residential project is Rs 13.29 lakh. Out of this cost amount, a grant of Rs 5.5 lakh will be given by the Central Government and Rs 1 lakh by the State Government.

Eligible beneficiaries will get 1 BHK apartment of 30 square meter carpet area at this price.

This residential unit has one bedroom, one kitchen, one living room, one toilet. There will also be a bathroom and a balcony.
